Is Heart of a Champion politically or religiously affiliated?

No. The Heart of a Champion Foundation and our character development program is entirely non-sectarian.

How much does the program cost?

The cost of the program is $25 per student. However, the foundation is willing to work with schools to try and subsidize that cost with alternative funding. For more information about pricing, visit our pricing page.

What age group is the program intended for?

The program is geared toward middle school through tenth grade.

Is there just one set of materials?

There are three volumes of materials, each emphasizing the same nine traits but using entirely different content.

How much preparation time is required of teachers?

Thanks to a thorough teacher’s guide, classroom preparation is limited to between five and ten minutes at most.

Is there any alternate funding available?

Depending on where your school is located, some funding may be available. The foundation will also assist schools in making grant requests or other fundraising ventures.

Yes. The Heart of a Champion Foundation is a 501(c)3 public charity.
What character traits do you teach?
Our program focuses on nine core character traits. They are: Commitment, Leadership, Perseverance, Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Responsibility, Self-Control, and Compassion.
What kind of training is required?
Included in the cost of the program is a 40 minute training video that provides educators with the knowledge they need to effectively implement the program. Schools also have the option of a live training/character seminar.
Is this a mentoring program?
The Heart of a Champion program is effectively implemented in a number of settings. It is most commonly used in the classroom, or group mentoring setting. It has also been successfully utilized in one-to-one mentoring relationships.
